What actually works in a long recording

The best moments in a webinar are almost never in the introduction. They are in the answers to questions, in objections handled well, in worked examples with numbers, and in the moments where the speaker says something they had not planned to say.

Two uses, two edits

For social, you want vertical, captioned, short, and a hook in the first second. For a landing page or a customer email, a slightly longer horizontal excerpt, kept in context, will be more persuasive.

The same recording serves both: you choose framing and length clip by clip, without going back to the source file each time.

Recordings with several speakers

Wide-shot interviews create a reframing problem: two people in a horizontal frame do not fit a vertical one. Depending on the passage, you can follow the speaking face or keep the whole image. For a panel, the second is usually more readable.

Mining the archive

Most organisations have years of recordings nobody mentions any more. That is not stale content — it is content that was never distributed. Revisiting an interview from two years ago costs one analysis, and is often worth more than shooting something new.
